There is a story about an imaginary town called Is, which was swallowed up by the sea at some unknown time. There are several places along the coast which are pointed out as the site of this imaginary city, and fishermen have many strange tales to tell of it.
According to them, the tips of the spires of the churches may be seen in the hollow of the waves when the sea is rough, while during a calm the music of their bells, ringing out the hymn appropriate to the day, rises above the waters.
Likewise, among the submerged masses, deep down at the bottom of the ocean of human life, there are yearnings and desires for a better life, that ring out sadly and perpetually. As a pastor, it is our duty to listen for these, and where we notice them, to present the only answer, the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Senior Pastor Aaron Bernabe
Pastor Aaron serves as our Senior Pastor, preaches the Sunday services, and is responsible for setting and implementing the vision for First Assembly.
His vision is for First Assembly to be a 21st century church that is strong in Worship, Evangelism and Discipleship.
His passion in ministry is leading people to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ through Evangelism and Outreach, and encouraging Christians to do their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.
Pastor Aaron's been married 14 years to Marsha and they have 2 children, Andrew and Heather. He's a graduate of Central Bible College, with a BA in preaching and evangelism. Aaron says his favorite food is Imos Thin Crust Pizza, can't stand the color yellow and believes everything´s going to be cool, because God´s in control!
Youth Pastor Bob Boswell
Bob Boswell serves as our youth pastor, and oversees our youth ministries.
He leads a dynamic youth service on Sunday evenings and conducts a youth Bible study on Wednesday evenings.
He dedicates much of his time building relationships with the youth and equipping them with the tools necessary to live Christ centered lives outside the four walls of the church.
Pastor Bob is Married to Becky and they have 6 children. His favorite food is Shrimp Fried Rice and it just drives him crazy when people rub their fingers on balloons. Pastor Bob believes the only thing worth being passionate about is Christ!
