MISSIONETTES, (a program for girls 3-12)
Early in the 1950s, women began to see a need for a program to teach
missions to young women and to prepare them for future involvement
in Women´s Ministries. The national Women´s Ministries Department
developed the Missionettes program in response to this need.
The first Missionettes club was officially chartered in January
1956. Since then, Missionettes clubs continue to be organized across
the United States and in many foreign countries. Along the way,
revisions have been made, such as age- and grade-level changes,
additions, and modifications in the achievement programs. But the
ultimate purpose of Missionettes - winning girls to Jesus Christ and
teaching them to live victoriously - has never changed.
ROYAL RANGERS, (a program for boys 3-12)
Royal Rangers is a ministry that reaches across the United States
and in over 65 nations around the world. It motivates boys spiritually
through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian
role models. Boys are strengthened mentally by an advanced awards-based
weekly program. Further, the boys increase their physical prowess
by participation in age-specific activities and recreation such
as supervised camping, hiking, crafts, day and overnight trips.
Finally, they are introduced to church, community, and nature-related
activities to develop their social skills and awareness.

What Do We Teach Our Children?
From Barna Research
"When our kids are exposed to the same (worldly) influences,
without much supervision, and are generally not guided to interpret
their circumstances and opportunities in light of biblical principles,
it´s no wonder that they grow up to be just as involved in
gambling, adultery, divorce, cohabitation, excessive drinking and
other unbiblical behaviors as everyone else. What we build into
a child´s life prior to the age of 13 represents the moral
and spiritual foundation that defines them as individuals and directs
their choices for the remainder of their life. Garbage in, garbage
out; there´s no magic that suddenly changes the young person
from what they were trained to be in their formative years into
a model Christian once they get older."
