Women´s Ministry


Women's Ministry (WM's for short) at First Assembly is a thriving ladies community within our church. Serving as volunteers from helping with Wedding/Baby showers, luncheons, Missionettes, Sunday School, Bible Studies, Meals to homebound, Library and Nursery.

Our mission statement is Servanthood. Jesus said "I have come not to be served to but to serve to all." We strive to make that our main goal. To be of service within and without the church and community.

OUR GOALS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. Outreach: We are all inclusive. (Every lady is welcome to our functions) We would love to see those who do not attend a church participate in WM's. Young and old are welcome. We feel we have something for every lady.
   
2. Bible Studies: Spring, Fall and Winter during the day we have a weekly Ladies Bible Study, each Thursday morning in the Fellowship Hall at 10am. During the Summer time we have Ladies Bible Studies in the evening every other week in different homes. The Bible Studies vary in topic but are always Bible based.
   
3. Fellowship Times:Scheduled times of fellowships, including events such as Spring Fling in Kansas City, Women of Faith Conferences, Fall Camp Retreat, or the National Women's Ministry Day, or just plan a time of fun and get acquainted "Snak and Yak."

• 50% of Women attend church on a given Sunday. (2006)
• 27% of Women attend a Sunday school class at church or, 26% participate in a small group. (2006)
• In general, 89% of Women report that they have prayed in the past week. (2006)

• 49% of Women have accepted Christ as their savior. (2006)
• Women are 55% of the adult born again population. (2006)
• 55% of Women believe that the Bible is totally accurate in all of its teachings. (2006))
• 78% of Women believe that God is the all-powerful, all-knowing, perfect creator that rules the world today. (2006)
• 74% of Women say that their faith is very important to them. (2006)

• 68% of Women describe themselves as "deeply spiritual". (2006)
